Description
Dudley Farm Historic Farmhouse Docent
Step back in time and help visitors experience daily life on a North Guilford farm in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Historic Farmhouse Docents welcome visitors, share stories about the Dudley family and the farmhouse, answer questions, and help bring the rooms, furnishings, tools, and everyday objects of the period to life.
Docents are an important part of making Dudley Farm a welcoming and engaging experience for visitors of all ages. No previous museum experience is required—just an interest in local history, a willingness to learn, and a friendly enthusiasm for sharing Dudley Farm's story.
Museum Hours: • Saturdays: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM • Sundays: 1:00–4:00 PM
Docent opportunities are on a volunteer basis. Volunteers may sign up for shifts that fit their schedules and will receive information and orientation to help them feel comfortable welcoming and assisting visitors.
If you are interested in being a docent - contact the Museum Director, Kaitlyn Goodwin, at director@dudleyfarm.com or call (203) 457-0770.
