Farm Landscaping & Grounds VolunteerHelp preserve the beauty, character, and historic landscape of Dudley Farm! Landscaping & Grounds Volunteers assist with maintaining the farm’s grounds by weeding gardens, clearing overgrown areas, removing invasive or unwanted vegetation, and helping keep pathways and outdoor spaces neat and accessible.Volunteers may work independently or alongside Dudley Farm staff and other volunteers. Tasks will vary depending on the season and the needs of the property and may include hand weeding, pruning, clearing brush, maintaining garden areas, and general grounds cleanup.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, gardening, physical activity, and caring for historic properties. Volunteers play an important role in keeping Dudley Farm’s 10-acre landscape welcoming for visitors while helping protect and maintain its historic character.This is a volunteer position. Dudley Farm Camp Counselor-in-Training (CIT) ProgramAre you 14–17 years old and looking for a fun, hands-on way to earn volunteer hours while gaining valuable leadership experience? Join the Dudley Farm Camp Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program!CITs work alongside camp counselors to help create a fun, safe, and engaging experience for younger campers. Responsibilities may include assisting with farm animals, gardening, crafts, games, water activities, demonstrations, and other hands-on camp experiences. CITs will also have opportunities to develop leadership, communication, teamwork, and mentoring skills while learning more about Dudley Farm and its historic agricultural traditions. Camp is Monday-Friday from 9AM to 1PM.CITs may choose which weeks in July 2027 they would like to participate, making it easy to fit the program around other summer plans. This is a volunteer position. Quinnipiac Dawnland Museum DocentHelp visitors discover the history and culture of the Quinnipiac people and the Indigenous history of the land on which Dudley Farm stands. Quinnipiac Dawnland Museum Docents welcome guests, introduce visitors to the museum's exhibits and collections, answer questions, and help connect the stories and experiences represented in the museum to the broader history of the region.Docents play an important role in creating a respectful, welcoming, and educational experience for visitors. No previous museum experience is required. Volunteers should have an interest in learning about Quinnipiac history and culture and enjoy engaging with visitors and sharing what they learn.Museum Hours: • Saturdays: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM • Sundays: 1:00–4:00 PMDocent opportunities are on a volunteer basis. Dudley Farm Historic Farmhouse DocentStep back in time and help visitors experience daily life on a North Guilford farm in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Historic Farmhouse Docents welcome visitors, share stories about the Dudley family and the farmhouse, answer questions, and help bring the rooms, furnishings, tools, and everyday objects of the period to life.Docents are an important part of making Dudley Farm a welcoming and engaging experience for visitors of all ages. No previous museum experience is required—just an interest in local history, a willingness to learn, and a friendly enthusiasm for sharing Dudley Farm's story.Museum Hours: • Saturdays: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM • Sundays: 1:00–4:00 PMDocent opportunities are on a volunteer basis.
