Women & Family Life Center (WFLC) is looking for community members interested in joining our Fundraising & Events Committee.Committee members help support WFLC’s fundraising initiatives and special events throughout the year. Depending on the project or event, volunteers may assist with planning, community outreach, sponsorship efforts, event preparation, day-of support, and brainstorming new ways to engage our community.The Fundraising & Events Committee meets biweekly on Monday afternoons, with additional involvement surrounding events and fundraising initiatives as needed.This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys collaborating with others, bringing ideas to the table, and helping create meaningful community experiences while supporting WFLC’s mission. The Volunteer Greeter creates a warm, welcoming first impression for clients and families upon arrival. This role supports front-end operations by facilitating communication with clinicians and helping maintain an organized, inviting waiting area. Volunteers will receive a list of available time slots and may sign up based on their availability. WFLC’s Financial Consultations connect participants with knowledgeable volunteers who can help them better understand their financial circumstances, explore available options, and identify practical steps forward.Volunteer Financial Consultants meet individually with participants and may provide education and guidance around topics such as budgeting, credit, debt, financial planning, and financial considerations related to major life transitions.Financial Consultants provide education, information, and guidance. WFLC’s Lawyer Time program provides participants with an opportunity to meet individually with a volunteer who has a professional legal background, including attorneys and paralegals.Lawyer Time is an educational and informational resource. Volunteers help participants better understand legal topics, identify questions they may want to consider, and learn about resources or options that may be available to them.Lawyer Time does not provide legal services or legal representation, and participation does not create an attorney-client relationship.
