The RSVP volunteer program at the Agency on Aging is actively seeking volunteers who are ready to engage in meaningful conversations and connections. Many individuals can no longer drive, making trips to the grocery store essential for promoting independence and a sense of belonging. The program has established onboarding procedures to ensure the safety and appropriateness of interactions for both volunteers and recipients. Please join us in making a difference!

Medical Chaperone
Agency on Aging of South Central Connecticut
This free program is designed to assist individuals in need of support and/or transportation to and from medical appointments. It helps facilitate travel from a person's home to their doctor's office and back. Medical chaperone volunteers are available to provide essential support, offering door-to-door assistance. These chaperones can offer to drive individuals directly, if ambulatory or accompany them if alternative transportation options are utilized, ensuring a safe and supportive journey. Appointments are typically prescheduled and episodic, but some folks have established relationships that offer consistency for all.
